Among the first to meet with James Roosevelt, son of the president and a member of his secretariat, as he began his conferences today with head of independent and emergency agencies, were Arthur J. Altmeyer, Chairman of the Social Security Board, and Mary W. Dewson, a member of the board. The conferences, which are to be held Monday and Tuesday of every week, are expected to solve the administration problems and effect better coordination, 11/1/37
