Alden F. Brooks enlisted in 1862 as a Corporal in the 105th Infantry (Ohio) and mustered out in June 1865 as a First Lieutenant. The regiment served in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia before joining Serman's Atlanta Campaign and March to the Sea.
