Summary: Photograph shows Florence Provost Batterton (1873-1922), wife of James Madison Batterton (1860-1928). She was formerly the wife of Clarence E. Smith who died in 1910. Mrs. Batterton (and her daughter Mrs. Julian L. Nugent) were present at the laying of the corner stone of the YMCA in South Elliott and Fort Greene Places, Brooklyn on Jan. 26, 1915.
