A typical frame ÔÇ£IÔÇØ house, built circa 1820, this home was reputedly moved to this site by floating it on the Tennessee River to Tuscumbia Landing, from which it was pulled to this location (a distance of two miles) by oxen. Julian, first sheriff of Colbert County and Commander of JulianÔÇÖs Battalion (CSA), Battle of DayÔÇÖs Gap during the Civil War.
