Summary: Broadside, on recto, shows a revolutionary soldier with hands above head holding on to an object, perhaps part of a rifle. This ballad conveys the sentiment of a soldier fighting in the Mexican Revolution in which he tells of being disgruntled yet willing to defend his country. It tells of how he was drafted into the service. He also states that he does not wish the life of a soldier on anyone, a life in which one suffers and is miserable.
