In 1939 Swiss-born architect Albert Frey relocated to Palm Springs. The first Le Corbusier disciple to build in the United States, he partnered with John Porter Clark and Robson Chambers to design Palm Springs landmarks like Palm Sprints City Hall (1952-1957). Frey used metal piping cut at angles as a design motif.
