There is a steaming pot of tea on the table next to her. She is imagining a scene where a street in the business district is filled with a procession of women shoppers carrying placards that state 'Under the Democratic Tariff We Live in a Golden Age of Business!!!', '1896 - We, the Shopping Women of America, Favor the Democrats Because Their Tariff Bill Favors Our Pocket Books!!!', and 'Thanks to the Democrats Shopping is Now a Joy Forever'.
