Summary: Four-panel comic strip shows Howland Owl telling the hound dog, Beauregard Bugleboy, and Albert Alligator that he suspects Mole MacCarony of kidnapping the Pup Dog. Howland bases this on the Mole's bad reputation, his evasiveness, and the sneaky look in his eye. Beauregard asks which eye and Albert asks how many eyes - 'in round numbers ... at a rough guess.' This strip was drawn during the McCarthy era, a period when people were being accused on very little evidence of subversive activities.
