Creator(s): Brumidi, Constantino, 1805-1880, artist Brumidi, Constantino, 1805-1880, collector
Date Created/Published: [between 1820 and 1850]
Summary: Probably a design for a mural for the U.S. Capitol.
Notes:
Painted opposite a plate from Jean Le Pautre's Å’uvres d'architecture..., 1751, which was pasted into an album (with other plates from the same work) by Constantino Brumidi for use as a source book for his mural designs; male figure in plate appears to have influenced the depiction of the male figure in the drawing.
