Summary: Close parody of West's painting, The Death of Wolfe, 1771, satirizing the passing of the Treason and Sedition Bills showing three officers supporting the mortally wounded Pitt (l. to r.): Burke, Pepper Arden and Dundas. Dundas, wearing a kilt, offers Pitt a glass of wine. Officer behind holding British flag is identified as Chatham and the man who supports him as Powys. The place of the Mohawk Indian seated on the ground is taken by Loughborough. Watching Pitt with clasped hands are Richmond and a man with a wooden leg.
