Summary: Print shows a membership certificate for the Committee on Ships and Ship Building which is to be featured at the Great Central Sanitary Fair, June 1864, in Logan Square in Philadelphia. Shows vignettes on both sides of various aspects of boat and ship building, with lists of 'Ship Builders, Boat Builders, Ship Joiners, Ship Smiths, Spar Makers, Riggers, Block Makers, [and] Sail Makers.' At top center, beneath the statement 'The Wealth and Strength of the Nation' is a panoramic view of ships at anchor in a harbor and under construction in dry docks; at bottom center is an exterior view of a hall labeled 'Union Avenue' with a crowd of spectators at the entrance. The certificate is signed by 'Chas. H. Cramp, Chairman, Preston Brearley, Secy., [and] John W. Lynn, Treasr.'
