Summary: Broadside shows gentleman seated beside writing desk; smaller cuts show profile busts of two men: small male figure wearing nightshirt, and a small skeleton on a balance. The text conveys the problems of scarcity of money and of poverty--hunger--and lists different foods that one could eat if there were money to buy them, as well as articles of clothing that could be sold for cash. Two additional songs appear on the verso: 'The little virgin' and 'If you could only love me.'
