The text conveys sympathy for Díaz and calls him a hero of the Mexican nation and asks for his return to his country from Paris. On the verso there is a poem titled 'To Mr. General Porfirio Díaz in his exile' and a song titled 'Ipiranga.' After a successful opposition by Francisco I. Madero's forces against the Díaz regime during the Mexican Revolution, Díaz fled Mexico on May 26, 1911, on the German ship Ipiranga.
