Lipscomb jury

Drawing shows the all-white jury at the bribery trial of Albert Louis Lipscomb, African American Dallas City Council member, Amarillo, Texas, where he was found guilty. Lipscomb's sentence was overturned at appeal in 2002, when a three-judge panel found that U.S. District Judge Joe Kendall erred in moving the trial from Dallas to Amarillo, where Lipscomb faced an all-white jury.
