Drawing shows Lipscomb, African American Dallas City Council member accused of bribery, on the stand at the United States v. Albert Louis Lipscomb trial, Amarillo, Texas, where he was found guilty. Lipscomb's sentence was overturned at appeal in 2002, at which a three-judge panel found that U.S. District Judge Joe Kendall erred in moving the trial from Dallas to Amarillo, where Lipscomb faced an all-white jury.
